Problem
Temperature analysis of electrical equipment (e.g. switchboards) is a critical aspect of maintenance activities, both in civil and industrial environments.
Currently the monitoring is based on analysis of thermographic surveys carried out at defined time intervals and requiring the intervention of specialized technical personnel.
In order to preserve plant performance levels and service continuity,continuous monitoring and maintenance of critical assets play a key role. Hence the need to define new strategies and models of “predictive maintenance” for electrical equipment.

RAM offers a new solution that can detect and monitor in real time (24h – 365d) the temperature of electrical equipment (e.g., switchboards).
By means of appropriate sensors (device IoT – Internet of Things) it is possible to quickly locate faults/ terminals loose and/or false contacts and to collect useful information on the status of the system, implementing predictive maintenance solutions.
The asset is scanned, through a 2-axis handling of the acquisition head. Thermal data is processed locally. The system provides local alerts and notifications (such as sound/visual alarms) and remote.
The health status of the asset can be viewed remotely. Clicking on a component opens the measurement detail with the detected information: component detail, date/time, temperature, status (alarm/normal), visible and thermal photo, etc. You can perform statistical analysis on the data.
The system has a high degree of flexibility and configurability: you can select the areas of interest, parameterize the thresholds.
Service
Through a back office module, the RAM staff is able to provide a predictive maintenance service, which will allow them to propose solutions to the anomalies found (in many cases not yet blocking), crossing thermal data and the history of previous acquisitions (combined with decades of experience in the field of RAM staff).
